Intrigued with the effects of shadow and light, I discovered a distinct relationship between the figure and objects in nature. At first glance, the figure is very much a landscape. At times, I choose to "zoom" into the landscape and paint the connection to more specific natural entities such as flowers, shells and fruit. Over time, I will continue this process with additions to the Diptych Gallery.
